On 8th September, we visited Marin Rural Municipality as part of our project, ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐งโ๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ-๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ. During our visit, we had the opportunity to engage with the Deputy Chairperson Ms. Bimala Majhi and the Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Om Bahadur Darji who expressed strong support for our initiatives. We discussed our future activities and the project’s key objectives, including:
Strengthening the capacity of duty bearers to develop GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion) Action Plans. Integrating gender data into provincial and local climate and DRR plans. Enhancing the voice, agency, and leadership of womenโs groups in the project location.We also visited Ward No. 3, Balumara where we formed a womenโs group within the Dalit and Indigenous communities. We aim to empower these groups through REFLECT training sessions and foster resilience and leadership.
We are grateful for the collaboration and support from the municipality, and we look forward to making meaningful progress together.
