Call for interns/enumerators

Position Title: Interns/Enumerators (2 positions)
Duration: 2 months
Location: Kathmandu with frequent travel to the field
Remuneration: NPR 40,000 per month

Scope of the work

The primary scope of the work of the internship is to provide support to the project team in the following areas:

  • Assisting with data collection and documentation of field-based data and activities.
  • Supporting the management and organization of project data.
  • Assisting in report writing and preparation of project documentation.
  • Providing logistical and administrative support to the project team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the project team members, the interns will be responsible for:

  1. Data Collection:
    • Two interns will assist in conducting minimum of 50 HHs surveys, interviews (n=3) , and focus group discussions (n=2) in all five project sites with local communities and stakeholders.
  1. Documentation:
    • Help document and record field activities, meetings notes, recordings and discussions with communities and stakeholders.
    • Contribute to the preparation of case studies, reports, and presentations.
  1. Data Management:
    • Assist in timely organizing and managing project data, ensuring it is stored in an w

      ell formatted, accessible and systematic manner.

    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular reviews and updates.
  1. Support to Project Team:
    • Provide logistical and administrative support during workshops, field visits, and meetings.
    • Coordinate with local stakeholders and communities as needed for field activities.
  1. Other Responsibilities:
    • Any other tasks as assigned by the project team member related to project implementation and management.

 Required Qualifications and Skills:

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a graduation in environmental science, climate change, disaster risk management, gender studies, or a related field.
    • Strong interest in climate change, disaster risk reduction, and gender issues.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data collection tools.
    • Willingness to travel to field sites as required.
