๐ŸŒฑ Empowering Women in Dhulikhel Municipality: Building Climate Resilience Together ๐ŸŒฑ

Our team visited Dhulikhel Municipality on 12th September as part of our project, “๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐งโ€™๐ฌ ๐‚๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐›๐ฒ ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‚๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐’๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐•๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ ๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ˆ๐ง๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐†๐ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ-๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐‚๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ƒ๐‘๐‘ ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ”. We had a productive meeting with the Mayor of Dhulikhel, Mr. Ashok Kumar Byanju discussing our upcoming activities aimed at strengthening the capacity of duty bearers to develop GEDSI Action Plans and integrating gender data into local climate and DRR plans.
The Mayor expressed strong support for our initiative and is eager to collaborate in making this vision a reality. We also visited Ward No. 9, where we successfully formed a women’s group in the Dalit community. This group will play a vital role in advocating for their rights and building their resilience through REFLECT training sessions.
