On 9th September 2024, we had a productive field visit to Hariharpurgadi Rural Municipality as part of our project, “๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐งโ๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ-๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ..”
In a positive meeting with the Chairperson of the rural municipality, Mr. Bajra Dwoj Waiba we discussed our upcoming activities aimed at building the capacity of duty bearers to develop GEDSI Action Plans. We also emphasized the importance of integrating gender data into local and provincial climate and DRR plans. We are thrilled to share that the municipality expressed strong support for our project and willingness to collaborate with us to achieve our objectives.
We also visited Ward No. 4, Chayachitti, where we formed a women’s group within the indigenous communities. This group will participate in REFLECT training sessions, empowering them to amplify their voices and enhance their leadership roles in climate resilience efforts.
