ย
The TOT on REFLECT covered a comprehensive range of topics, including the integration of climate change, disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM), and gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI). It also discussed on womenโs rights, with a focus on access and benefit sharing, climate justice, empowerment, leadership, tenurial rights, and access to essential services such as education and healthcare. Participants gained valuable insights into leadership development, group mobilization, and collective action, while also becoming familiar with over a dozen participatory tools for problem analysis and solution development. Additionally, an action plan was created to conduct REFLECT sessions over the next 16 weeks.
The TOT trained 4-5 facilitators from each community, who will work with womenโs groups in their respective communities for next 4-5 months. This initiative aims to empower women, enhance their leadership, and equip them to influence and contribute to GEDSI integrated policies and practices, ultimately helping to develop a more inclusive and resilient community.
