Regional Dialogue on Climate Governance

Our Advisor Dr Popular Gentle shared his insights as a panelist in a 4th session of the Regional Dialogue on Climate Governance.

As a panelist of Asia regional conference on understanding political and institutional limitations of climate institutions for effective climate action Dr. Gentle’s presentation was about to answer some questions around how can we break vertical silos between institutions and promote collaboration and coordination by respecting the potential role of different institutions. The questions, more specifically, were about what is the state of play in emerging climate institutions at the provincial and local level; how climate agenda is promoted or undermined by local political priorities, what kind of climate action capability do we foresee emerging at the sub-national level, where are the gaps, and what can federal government, development partners, and civil society do to fill these gaps, and what is situation on the inclusion and vulnerability end, what exist and what more is needed?
