GEDSI Action Plans have been developed and officially endorsed, ensuring women’s voices guide local climate responses

After extensive consultations, feedback sessions, and collective learning, (Namobuddha Municipality) has officially endorsed the 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 developed under the project “Building Women’s Climate and Disaster Resilience by Strengthening Climate Smart Villages for Increased Gender-responsive Climate and DRR Actions.”
The endorsement ceremony was honored by the presence of Ms. Mehtap Tatar (she/her), Deputy Country Representative of UN Women Nepal, and the Mayor of Namobuddha Municipality, who expressed commitment to begin implementing the plan soon. Held at the municipality office, the event brought together local government representatives, women’s groups from the community, UN Women officials, and our project team, reinforcing a shared dedication to advancing women’s empowerment and inclusive climate resilience.
This achievement reflects the collaborative efforts of Clim Adapt, HIMAWANTI Nepal, CDAFN Bardibas, and the continued support of UN Women Nepal. It marks a critical step forward in institutionalizing gender-responsive climate and disaster risk governance at the local level.
