🌱 Local Integrated Risk Assessment
As part of the PROAACT project, a community-led Local Integrated Risk Assessment was conducted across six communities in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, Dhading. Using participatory integrated risk assessment tools, communities identified key climate and environmental risks, their impacts on livelihoods, and underlying social and governance challenges and inequalities. The assessment revealed drought, human–wildlife conflict, and pests and diseases emerging as major risks for the local communities affecting their lives and livelihood, with climate impacts disproportionately affecting women, Indigenous Peoples, economically poor households, older people, persons with disabilities, and children.

The assessment provides an important evidence base for locally led, inclusive, and risk-informed climate action, strengthening community resilience, preparedness, and accountable local governance.
